Our South Florida remote, uplink studio (servicing Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach County) is covering the latest news developments in the arrest of 7th Heaven star, Stephen Collins, who is being investigated on child molestation charges. Collins allegedly confessed in a secretly recorded conversation that he exposed himself and molested several underage children. The NYPD’s Special Victims Unit is investigating several allegations that happened as fatback as 1972.  Our video production studio in Fort Lauderdale, welcomed Stacey Honowitz,  Supervisor in the Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit of the Broward County State Attorney’s Office.  Stacey was live on CNN’s Erin Brunett’s Out Front Show discussing the case.  Honowitz is also the author of the books “My Privates are Private” and “Genius with a Penis, Don’t Touch.”

Stephen Collins is best known for his acting role in 7th Heaven, where he played the Rev. Eric Camden, a father of seven on the popular sitcom from 1996-2007. The actor allegedly confessed to one of the alleged incidents during a therapy session with his now former wife, Faye Grant, back in January of 2012. In the recording, Collins says he molested a relative of his first wife, Marjorie Weinman “a couple of times.” The alleged victims are from Los Angeles and New York. Following his arrest, Collins was fired from his upcoming role in the movie, Ted 2. It is important to note that Collins has not been charged as of yet, despite his arrest and being fired from his role in the upcoming film.
