Our South Florida remote uplink broadcast tv studio had the pleasure of hosting  Star Jones as our guest.    Star Jones was live on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight from our Fort Lauderdale studio discussing the recent A&E suspension of the Duck Dynasty Star Phil Robertson.  Robertson was put on indefinite suspension for anti-gay comments he made in a recent interview with GQ magazine.   Robertson’s comments have sparked much debate, controversy and outrage among many groups.   While the LGBT community and GLAAD condemn Robertson’s comments, there are those, including Former Governor Sarah Palin, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and Former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, who have come to the Duck Dynasty star’s defense.    On Facebook Palin wrote “Those ‘intolerants’ hatin’ and taking on the Duck Dynasty patriarch for voicing his personal opinion are taking on all of us.”  Governor Jindal criticized “the politically correct crowd is tolerant of all viewpoints, except those they disagree with.”  Jindal went on to say “that this is a free country and everyone is entitled to express their views.”

Star  Jones discussed the issue with Piers Morgan and said “as an American citizen you should feel outraged whenever anybody claims to love America but clearly can’t stand a bunch of Americans.”   Star is an attorney and national spokesperson for the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).
